The applications get a bit wordy after a while, now don’t they? The UoC File Cabinet is possibly the best place to read, learn and post a little more about characters without having to take any further looks at those rather lengthy applications.

This board will have posts with relationships for a character, then another character would apply for those certain relationships. People use things such as lyrics, song titles, and things of their own creations for character positions. If confused just look at the threads already posted or PM one of the site administrators.

Live journal is a system of online journaling, with a tad bit of profiling. This site wasn’t really created for people in order to ease their MySpace addictions, but for the ones that indeed do like to blog and what not. There are several types of communities out there that one may join, based upon certain interests. Sign up for a sub board in claims.

Who doesn't like flipping through pages of photos? This is where you go to post pictures of yourself, your friends, your family... anything your artistic little heart desires, really!

Here you can set up your character's inbox or partake in an instant message/chat room conversation. We're the generation that's obessed with technology. What self respecting young adult wouldn't be infront of their pc? Well, after work and inbetween classes that is.

As mentioned earlier, we're the technolusting generation. When we can't be near our computers, we create a way to im whilst on the road via text. Every once in a while some actually talks on these damned things and it's pretty rare to actually catch someone on a landline.

The dorms consist of three halls: Breckenridge, Broadview, and Shoreland. Each hall is co-ed; however, roomates are to be same sex at all time. You must be in your dorm room no later than 12:00 a.m. and under no circumstances are boys allowed in the dorms. This rule, nonetheless, will be broken, but be warned, in each hall there are hall monitors and dorm moderators. They patrol the hall and dorms when necessary.

New students will be directed to the Dean's office for early - or late - registration. Also, you'll be directed here and undergo discipline if you find yourself breaking any of the campus rules. The office includes a counselor office, secretary station, and of course, the Dean's office.

Are you an athlete? Do you need to work-out on a daily basis because the pressure of having a six-pack as opposed to flab is getting to you? Well, then the University of Chicago offers it's athletic facilities for you! Here you'll find a work-out room filled with all the latest equipment to gain even the most ripped abs, the gym which includes a basket ball court, and a swimming pool closed off for the swimmers of UC. Behind the gym is a track for the cross country runners and a football field. Any type of athletic hype is provided by the University.

The lawns surrounding the University are of vast proportions - spanning more than 100 acres. Trees scattered here and there add to the scenic beauty of the school as well as the few water fountains placed for decoration. The well taken care of lawn is home to many students during the summer and spring time to do homework or eat lunch on the many picnic tables and benches provided around the school grounds. The ground is never deserted; however, it's rare to see students dining during the fall and winter season on the benches when the grounds are covered in snow.

Perhaps in the gigantic University, you'll bump into someone you knew from high school; however chances are most likely not. Try not to bump into too many students if you're in a hurry to get to class.

Students are allowed in this lounge for it is their own; however, even though students aren't allowed in the professors lounge, they are allowed in the students. They rarely come into the lounge therefore leaving it unoccupied by adults giving students freedom to do as they please.

This board is password protected and can only be accessed by the professors of the University. It is their own little sanctuary to smoke, eat, and gossip about the day's events and students. Students are not allowed in this section of the campus and if caught will face very extreme consequences.

In the Auditorium, the Thespians hold play practices, as well as plays of all sorts. Chicago University is infamous for it's brilliant drama team; perhaps you're one of them. Also, many organizations and class meetings with Dean are held within it's walls.

The University Library is huge and filled with books excellent for those 1800 word essays the professors lay on you at the last minute. Including books, students will also find computers for index looking and internet functions for those who don't have access to computers at home or in their dorms.

I believe the title says it all: the dreaded class rooms of U of C. They were designed to fit 1,000 students and are also built to fit the design of an auditorium. Bring your hearing-aid and brain because if you're sitting in the back, you're most likely not going to be able to hear.

For those students who can't afford to eat off campus or choose not to, the cafeteria is the next best choice. U of C offers gourmet meals for the students who eat here and the food isn't scary looking!

The dorm hall parking lot is the only parking lot available to students; however, a teacher's parking lot and visitor parking lot was built away from the dorms. The parking lot is a place to meet up with friends after school and discuss random events of the day. Also for more illegal things such as drug dealings.

Whether for richer or poorer, or perhaps somewhere within the middle, majority of the Chicago population have places to reside during the night hours. The neighborhoods vary as do their residents; each and every home is unique within its own. Don’t get lost whilst traveling the back streets of Inner Chicago. Majority of the time we have no clue what’s going on back there.

Are you into the Hollywood movie star scene? The whole fashionista crowd? Well, then Japonais is the place for you! Movie stars who favor this Chicago restaurant: Charlize Theron, Goldie Hawn, Hugh Hefner (with his three girl friends), Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn. And if star Sightings aren’t enough for you, this place has the best Sushi Around.

The Hyde Park Art Center’s mission is to stimulate and sustain the visual arts in Chicago. It is the oldest alternative exhibition space in the City and boasts a long record of education outreach in the community. Studio art classes are available to community members of all ages and skill levels. Classes are offered in painting, drawing, ceramics, photography, and much more! The Hyde Park Art Center has three exhibition spaces to showcase the work of exciting and innovative artists.

The ESPN Zone is a combination sports, entertainment and dining venue featuring the Sports Arena for interactive sports and the Screening Room for viewing sporting events. The Screening Room features a 16-foot screen surrounded by skybox suites. There are 37 monitors throughout the facility for watching all sorts of sporting events. The ESPN Zone also has a restaurant offering American grill selections, as well as a Sports Center Studio Store for ESPN & ESPN Zone apparel and Chicago merchandise.

This is the line of stores tucked between the Chicago River and Lake Shore Drive on Michigan Avenue. Here you'll find restaurants, glamorous hotels, plus a handful of museums--this is truly a shopper's paradise. Highlights include Saks Fifth Avenue, Niketown, and the famous Wrigley Building.

Spend the day at Lincoln Park Zoo, one of Chicago's favorite spots with gardens, hundreds of animals, festivals, and activities for the whole family. Lincoln Park Zoo is one of the oldest in the country, but they've worked hard to redevelop and redesign most of it these past few years.

Six Flags Great America is a world-class family entertainment complex featuring thrill rides, spectacular shows and exciting attractions. The rides at Six Flags Great America include lots of thrill rides for the adventurous, as well as family rides. Entertainment includes shows, concerts and festivals. In addition to the rides and shows, Great America has plenty of shopping and dining options. Shopping includes souvenirs, clothing and candy. Dining includes pizza, pasta, burgers, chicken, fajitas, special kids' meals, funnel cakes and more.

An Indie Cafe kind of thing, with modern art on the walls, coffee, muffins, smoking and knicknacks. The kind of place a lot of alternative people and Vegetarians would go for coffee instead of Starbucks, snacks and a smoke sort of. Oh and of course internet access with poetry reading every Tuesday and Thursday night and music gigs every Monday and Friday.

Escape to the Navy Pier at sunset to enjoy the carnival-style rides, picnic by the lake, and pick up some souvenirs from local vendors. The Navy Pier lights up at night with its trademark Ferris wheel leading the way. Make a stop here with friends to enjoy an amusement ride, and catch a glimpse of the city from the best seats in the house; on top of the Ferris wheel!

Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum. This massive theater, museum, and gallery opens up the doors to the universe. Sit back and enjoy a tour of stars and plaents in the Sky Theater; then discover the rarities and astronomical books and tools in the Adler exhibit.

The laughs are contagious and the people memorable - or so the Chicago Time's says. Zanies Comedy Club has been around for a decade and has been known to house infamous celebrities and of course, infamous comics. The club opens every night at 6 and closes around 6 a.m. Don't bother trying to get in if you're underage; the bouncers here are vicious, but if you're in need of a laugh, Zanies is the place that'll do it.

Fan of music? Underground Music Store offers a variety of different artists - from punk to rap. The place is especially great for a very versatile soul who loves any genre of music.

Thespian lovers will absolutely adore this grand Chicago Theater. Built in 1921 during the Golden Age of entertainment, the Chicago Theatre was the first of its kind and paved the way for many other marvelous theaters that came after it. So, if you're looking for a great play and a marvelous view, Chicago Theater is the place to visit!
